Entrevista
I was directly approached by the Hiring Manager on LinkedIn and invited to interview. To be honest, I hadn’t heard of Softgarden before, but I was positively surprised by the first conversations – both the recruiter and the Hiring Manager saw me as a great fit for the Senior Sales role.
My interview with the Hiring Manager went especially well – he told me I had delivered one of the best presentations and preparations he had ever seen, that he wanted me in his team, and that I was a great cultural fit. I was told that I was basically “through” and would just need to meet a few team members in the final round.
Unexpectedly, just one day later, I received a rejection with reasons (lack of HR experience, short time in SaaS sales) that were known from the very first interview. It honestly felt as if the Hiring Manager had initially stood fully behind me but then had to withdraw his support due to internal, likely political reasons.
The process was structured and professional at first but ended in a way that felt inconsistent and disappointing. In hindsight, I could have saved the time and effort I invested. Especially for a company that sells recruiting software and promotes a great candidate experience, I would have expected more transparency and reliability.

One of my most positive and memorable interview experiences was actually with a company where I didn't get the job in the end—but it still stands out as one of the best I've ever had.
What made it special wasn't the difficulty of the questions or any specific technical deep-dive. The questions were fair and relevant, but what really impressed me was the atmosphere from the very first moment: it felt friendly, open, and built on trust and clarity right away. The interviewers made me feel comfortable and respected as a person, not just as a candidate. They explained the process clearly, listened actively to my answers, and there was genuine interest in my background and motivations.
At the beginning, I wasn't completely sure if the company was the perfect fit for me long-term. But during the conversation, that friendly and professional vibe changed my perspective—I started to see myself there and became genuinely excited about the possibility.
Even though they ultimately decided not to hire me (which I understood and respected), the whole experience left me with a very good feeling. It showed me how much a human-centered, transparent approach can make a big difference in interviews. Since then, I've always appreciated companies that create that kind of trusting environment, and it's something I look for now.

Entrevista
Ich habe mich für die Stelle als HR-Managerin beworben. Der Prozess war dreistufig aufgebaut (Recruiter, Line Manager/Fachbereich, Team). Von Anfang bis Ende war die Kommunikation transparent, freundlich und absolut professionell. Auch wenn es letztlich nicht zu einer Einstellung kam, war dies eine der angenehmsten Bewerbungserfahrungen, die ich bisher gemacht habe. Top-Prozess!
