3 interviews including virtual pre-screening interview. Everything went smoothly UNTIL I was given an offer. There was no room for negotiation on their end, and several aspects of the offer were a downgrade for me, so I told HR I need some time to think everything through, and they confirmed that they would honour the deadline of 5pm the following day, as stated on the signed offer letter they had sent me. Well, at 1pm that day, after I had given my 2-week notice to my current employer and in the midst of emailing them to accept the offer, they emailed me to say they are RESCINDING THE OFFER. When I asked for an explanation, they simply stated they "decided to go a different direction". While I'm extremely upset by their actions, I feel like I dodged a major bullet as this is a HUGE RED FLAG for the type of employer they would be. Take heed of all the bad reviews and don't ignore them like I did. Something is not right with how this company is being managed.
There's a reason why I have to select "Yes, but I declined" on here even though that's not accurate - there is no option to select "Yes, but it was rescinded" because no decent company ever does that!
