Competing for a cause 🏅 Once again, this year, athletes from our company joined over 30,000 participants from more than 150 organizations across Greater Kansas City to compete in flag football, bicycling, tennis, softball and more in the Kansas City Corporate Challenge (KCCC). KCCC promotes fitness and teamwork, boosts cooperative spirit, builds friendships, and encourages a healthier lifestyle. This year, KCCC supported Cornerstones of Care, a local charity, with donations from company registrations. We're proud to continue to be part of this impactful annual event. Giving back to the communities in which we work and live. 🤲 Rome, Georgia has become a home away from home for the Black & Veatch team working on the Georgia Power Grid Investment Plan project. 🏡 As a way to give back to the local community, the project team members have been supporting the Floyd County CASA, which provides training and supervision to volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children. During this past holiday season, our team purchased gifts from an Amazon wish list and distributed them to local families.
Some of our Black & Veatch team members participated in United Way's Women United event at Mother's Refuge Shelter in Kansas City! Together, Tiffany Coleman, Angelia White, Jasmine Titus, Starla Titus, and Cassie Bain dedicated their time and energy to give back to the community. Along with other UWWU members, they helped decorate the shelter for the upcoming holiday event, ensuring that young mothers and their children will have a festive and joyful celebration. 🎄🎅 This team’s efforts will bring much-needed holiday cheer to these families, making a meaningful impact in their lives. Thank you to our amazing volunteers for spreading kindness and making a difference! 🌟🎁
