On Monday 20th January, chosen from 8,000 applications, 36 apprentices joined Channel 4. 13 apprentices joined our Leeds HQ, 19 in London, 2 in Glasgow and one both in Bristol and Manchester. Their apprenticeships, which range from 12-18 months, are with a wide range of departments including 4Studio, 4creative, Finance, Film4, Commissioning and Creative Diversity and much more. Channel 4’s Head of Partnerships & Skills Kevin Blacoe said: "Breaking into the broadcasting industry can be challenging, which is why it's essential to create opportunities that allow young people to explore and understand the diverse career paths within the creative sectors. By providing hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to the various roles in broadcasting, we can help them gain valuable insights and build the skills necessary to succeed in this competitive field." Wishing all our apprentices the best of luck as you wrap up your first week! We hope it’s been an exciting start to your journey – here’s to many more weeks of growth, learning, and success ahead! We will have applications open in February for Higher Level Apprenticeships, keep an eye out for more information to come! hashtag#apprenticeship hashtag#earlycareers
