To mark World Day Against Trafficking in Persons later this month, we interviewed Michael Fullilove, a decision intelligence expert, former U.S. Navy SEAL and senior government advisor. Check out our conversation with Michael, and hear him delve into future challenges and opportunities related to AI and human trafficking (click the link to watch the video). 🚨SchemeGPT: How LLMs are being exploited for crime and illicit activity🚨 Generative AI could be the most significant revolution of our time. While most people use this technology for legitimate purposes, criminals and bad actors are already utilizing ChatGPT and other LLMs to accelerate their illicit activities and spread disinformation. Check out our new report, which examines the double-edged sword of LLMs by exploring how criminals can exploit them AND how law enforcement agencies can benefit from this advanced technology. To summarize our AI-themed Hackathon, we asked generative AI to write a post. All we got was a text about 🤖robots, 🤓nerds, and caffeine. While these clichés aren't untrue, isn't it ironic that the decisive human factor was overlooked? Over the last three days, almost 150 Cognyters from around the world worked together on nearly 20 original inventions. Our conclusion is that the combination of human factors like curiosity, experience, and intuition, combined with AI capabilities and volumes, transcends boundaries. Results are more future-proof than ever, bringing our customers tons of potential value. Thanks to everyone who participated, especially the hackathon's captain, Adi Sagi. We'll announce the winners soon!

Cognyte's hackathon is officially underway!
This photo shows colorful treats, decorations and many happy people applauding. It does not show the remarkable milestone of launching a major new version of a leading solution! It does not reveal the countless hours of work, coding, testing, or brainstorming over weeks, months and years, to get the best possible product with value in every touchpoint to our customers. One thing it certainly shows, is some of our incredible Cognyters. Without you, it wouldn't have been possible. So we took a moment to applaud the teams who make the magic happen, and build our future-proof products every day. Here’s to an amazing launch🎉!
Hey there! I'm George Linta, and I'm a Product Intelligence Expert at Cognyte - a fancy title, if you ask me 😉! Mainly, my responsibilities are divided between presales and post-sales. For presales, I am responsible for demos, value propositions and proofs of concept (POCs). For post-sales, I conduct training for our customers. By ‘training’ I mean operational and methodology training – I both explain to our customers ”what this button does” and I also explain why, and how they should use “that button” to derive actionable insights. I believe my personal background is a great match for my role. I joined with several years of experience in a counter-terrorism division and 5 years in sales & presales in IT. So coming to Cognyte was a perfect combination for me. I remember thinking that it would be a challenging place to work, and boy, was I right! But you know what? I enjoy that challenge. Moreover, I have the privilege of expressing my natural curiosity at work - a quality that is somewhat uncommon in today's workplaces (although I'm open to hearing counterexamples!) 😊. Mostly, at Cognyte, I enjoy being in contact with customers, learning about their challenges and coming up with real and effective recommendations – which I like to think of as solving real-life security enigmas.
The International Symposium on Security serves as a central forum to debate top-notch security technologies applied to combating crime and terror. Thanks to the National Association of Federal Police Delegates (ADPF) for the opportunity to share our experiences in this field!
