Events like the recent hurricanes in the Southeast reinforce the importance of climate resiliency planning. Kleinfelder recently provided such services to two award-winning projects in North Carolina — the Lumber River Wetlands Restoration Study and the Lumber River Resilient Roads Study — both of which focus on building resilience in the five-county Lumber River region of North Carolina, which faces repeated flooding and severe hurricanes. Kleinfelder provided climate resiliency planning assessments, stakeholder engagement, and conceptual-level engineering recommendations for both studies. 👉 Learn more:

“My return to Kleinfelder was based on three factors,” says Johan. “The exciting projects that Kleinfelder is working on throughout NorCal, the challenge of the position, and the opportunity for advancement.” We’re excited to welcome Johan back to Kleinfelder as Program Manager for the Construction Materials Engineering and Testing group in our Northern California Area. He previously served as a Construction Services Manager with Kleinfelder, from 2009 to 2018, and was most recently with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers before boomeranging back to our team. “As a ‘Boomerang,’ I spoke with colleagues that I worked with previously and got excellent feedback on the culture and working environment here at Kleinfelder,” he added. Are you, like Johan, looking for a great working culture and a challenging and rewarding career with plenty of room for growth? Look no further! We have opportunities in a range of disciplines and areas … take a look and apply today!
