Going Above and Beyond 💫 At PT Solutions, we are incredibly proud of the dedication and leadership shown by Raena Steffen, Director of Sports Medicine for Florida, and Adam Grier, Certified Athletic Trainer at George M. Steinbrenner High School. These two remarkable team members were recently honored with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award, a recognition of their unwavering support for citizen warriors. When Ethan Byrne, 1st Lieutenant of the 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (1LT, 53 IBCT) and Certified Athletic Trainer at A.P. Leto High School, was twice called to serve with the Florida Army National Guard during Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Raena and Adam stepped in without hesitation. Raena ensured seamless coverage by repositioning staff, while Adam personally covered games at Ethan's school—all while maintaining his own responsibilities at Steinbrenner High School. Their dedication, flexibility, and compassion inspired Ethan to nominate them for the Patriot Award, which recognizes employers who go above and beyond to support National Guard and Reserve members. On November 14, 2024, Raena and Adam received this prestigious award from Ethan and Mr. Bernie Currie, ESGR Area Nine Chair (USAF Retired), at our South Carrollwood clinic. Fletcher, NC - At PT Solutions of Arden, Clinic Manager Kyle demonstrated life-saving clinical expertise and quick thinking. Jimmy, a patient receiving treatment for dizziness, vestibular hypofunction, and cardiovascular deconditioning, came in for his appointment showing some concerning signs. Right away, Kyle noticed something wasn’t right. Jimmy was displaying red-flag symptoms that hinted at a potential cardiac issue. Without hesitation, Kyle jumped into action. He checked Jimmy’s vitals and, sensing the urgency of the situation, sent him next door to the urgent care clinic for further evaluation. There, an ECG revealed what Kyle had suspected: Jimmy was experiencing a cardiac event. Thanks to Kyle’s swift response and clinical knowledge, Jimmy received an early intervention that likely prevented a severe cardiac event at home, ultimately saving his life. We are incredibly grateful for Kyle’s quick action and commitment to his patients' well-being. Please join us in congratulating Kyle on this outstanding work!

Now, he’s celebrating an incredible milestone—300 visits! 🎉 His commitment to improving his cardiopulmonary endurance has paid off, and he’s now completing a full hour of exercises three times a week.
