Hawaiʻi isn’t all beaches and palm trees. 🌴 Dispatcher Chris Barry bundled - using his travel benefits for a trip to the Big Island, where Mauna Kea rises so high above sea level that temperatures at the top can feel anything but tropical. Fun fact: Mauna Kea is considered the tallest mountain on Earth when measured from its underwater base, even taller than Everest.
Congratulations to Republic Airways, who received the 2025 Mira Award for Tech Company of the Year (over 500 employees). The Indianapolis-based airline has developed in-house technology to improve its operations, which has allowed it to improve flight planning and reduce fuel consumption. The company operated 235,000+ flights in 2024 with an on-time performance exceeding 85 percent.
A lot can change over 41 years, and yet a lot can stay the same.
