We’ve been touched by each MLK True to the Dream Honoree we’ve recognized in partnership with the Atlanta Hawks, but we couldn’t be prouder of the most recent honoree – our very own Nick Hess. As an application architect, Nick creates the infrastructure and coding that delivers our well-being solutions to your smartphone, but in his spare time, he builds small homes for as shelter for homeless individuals in Atlanta. 💚 Through his work with the local nonprofit Mad Housers, Nick and other volunteers – including his wife, Tracy, and their two children – meet vulnerable and displaced people where they are, granting them a basic level of security, privacy, and protection from the elements. On why he “shares care,” Nick says it’s a critical calling. “I believe that kindness is not only good for others, but also good for ourselves and our own well-being… we can help folks stop living just to survive today and start living to thrive tomorrow.” We're congratulate Nick on this well-deserved honor, and admire his shining example of what it means to share care!

It’s no secret that we love celebrating and learning from women who are leading the way, like our company president, Dawn Whaley. Recently, Dawn sat down with podcast host Lisa Ross-Faust for an episode of The Mona Lisa Monologues, a new series that empowers and encourages women to embrace their inner strength, featuring stories from women who have broken the glass ceiling, worked in a “man’s world,” or managed to climbed their way to the top. Lisa has known Dawn for more than 20 years, yet says the conversation revealed stories about Dawn and her career that she hadn’t heard before. The episode covers everything from Dawn’s earliest days as a leader to her insider perspective on the accelerated adoption of digital and everything in-between. Dawn also shares what has made this the most “intense” phase of her career to date as our company rapidly responds to the COVID-19 pandemic. But don’t just take it from us – tune in now to the episode.
