This week, UW Credit Union co-hosted a two-day financial education summit in collaboration with The Forward Learning Institute of Financial and Economic Literacy (FLIFEL) – a partnership between UWCU, Edgewood College, the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions and the CBM Credit Education Foundation. About 75 Wisconsin educators and community partners gathered for the event, which included training from the Department of Public Instruction and connected educators to free state resources to support them and their students. This morning, members of our SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Alliance) Employee Resource Group, alongside allies, came together to celebrate the start of hashtag#PrideMonth. Together, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, the power of inclusivity and living life authentically. Happy Pride! 🏳🌈
Ryan Cofield Indirect Lending Operations Manager Wasn't to sure about the forecast, but you know what they say, if you don’t like the weather in Wisconsin just wait five minutes. Thankfully, the weather held out long enough for our group to get some grilling in at hashtag#bratfest2024. I am so thankful to work for an organization that promotes community. hashtag#IWorkForUWCU.

UW Credit Union is a big believer in the power of community, and that spirit was at the forefront of the recent United Way of Dane County Community Celebration. As a proud presenting sponsor of the event and longtime fundraising partner, it was an honor to attend the event and celebrate the power of collective impact. Together, organizations like ours raised an impressive $16.8 million in support of family well-being, ensuring more people in Dane County can lead healthy, fulfilling lives. We were also honored to receive the Accelerating Impact Award, given to companies that grew their financial impact the most. In 2023, our workplace giving campaign raised a record-breaking $285,000 to benefit United Way Dane County. We’re proud of the work we’ve done as an organization to support much-needed resources in our community. Thank you to United Way Dane County for honoring us with this award. Our whole team is proud!
Allison O'Grady Learning & Development Manager celebrates UWCU emerging leaders We have had an exciting few weeks at UW Credit Union. We celebrated our class of 2023 emerging leaders. The graduation entailed storytelling, a competition, and even a rap. We also kicked off our first new leader cohort of 2024 with and amazing cross-functional group. Lucky to work for an organization that values learning and connections at a foundational level. #iwork4uwcu
