Verily’s proprietary, AI-driven digital protocol solution helps sponsors achieve faster, less costly trial operations by quickly capturing nuanced study details from static PDF protocols. Attending #BioTechXUSA? Connect with the Verily team at booth #510 to learn more about Digital Protocols,
Static real-world data doesn’t tell the whole story in clinical research. Verily Viewpoint Evidence transforms RWD by building a lasting community of engaged, re-contactable participants. This creates a dynamic, ongoing conversation, allowing pharma teams to rapidly gather new evidence and gain deeper context without launching entirely new studies. Learn from Verily experts how this participant-centric evidence engine creates a more complete evidence base.
🎉 Fierce Pharma has named Verily a 2025 Fierce 50 Innovation Honoree! We’re recognized for Verily Sightline, wastewater-based epidemiology for early detection of infectious diseases. In partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Stanford University, and state and local public health departments, our goal is to provide real-time data to support public health preparedness and response. “We're investing in the science, we're investing in the relationships, we're investing in the programs so that we're able to support public health, as well as the pharmaceutical industry and health sector in general, so that we can use these tools to try to advance human health,” Amy Lockwood, Verily Head of Public Health Partnerships.
Only 2 days left to register! Join us on September 10th at 2:00 PM ET to hear directly from public health experts. Discover how real-world applications of wastewater surveillance are accelerating H5N1 preparedness and response.
In the third edition of the Verily Tech Blog, our product engineering team pulls back the curtain on the intricate technical details of implementing FHIRPath in Go, including optimizations for runtime performance, flattening expression trees, and ensuring seamless interoperability between FHIRPath and Google FHIR library. Learn more about our work to improve performance and developer ergonomics.
In this Verily N of 1 episode, Las Vegas looks to a new innovation to help detect the presence of infectious disease: wastewater-based epidemiology. This innovation can measure pathogens in wastewater with almost real-time results, enabling quick action and prevention against the spread of diseases.
Decentralized and pragmatic clinical trials have the potential to improve representation in research through the use of technology and integration of trials with routine care. However, barriers such as a lack of technology access, support resources, and transparency, along with the need for regulatory alignment on data standards, must be addressed to expand participation across all phases of clinical product development. In an article published in Clinical Therapeutics, current and former Verily authors Caroline Marra, Vindell Washington, Krisda Chaiyachati and Amy Abernethy, discuss solutions for ensuring the defining elements of decentralized and pragmatic trial designs are deployed in a manner that will improve research representatitiveness and generalizability of evidence at scale.
Recent H5N1 outbreaks highlight the urgent need for robust public health tools. Advanced wastewater monitoring is empowering public health officials with critical insights for rapid and targeted response. Join us for a webinar on September 10th at 2:00 PM ET to hear from Michelle Vien at the Hawaii State Department of Health, and Casie Stoughton at the City of Amarillo, Texas, as they share real-world successes.
Our study on leveraging behavioral science principles in a LLM workflow for personalized nutrition coaching is now published in JMIR Formative Research! Effective management of cardiometabolic conditions requires consistent positive nutrition habits, which are often difficult due to unique and complex barriers for each individual. We've developed an agentic workflow that identifies barriers with >90% accuracy and empathetically delivers over 100 personalized tactics and behavioral science nudges. Findings from our real user and simulation studies show the potential of this LLM-powered agentic workflow to improve nutrition coaching by providing personalized, scalable, and behaviorally-informed interventions.
Amy Lockwood, Verily Head of Public Health Partnerships, discussed with NBC Bay Area how the later COVID summer surge could impact transmission rates as students head back to school: “We'll have a lot more combinations of people getting together indoors, which just is the environment that germs really love in order to transmit from person to person.”
