Duties

• Assist senior technicians with chimney and fireplace installations, repairs, and maintenance projects.
• Support the setup and teardown of job sites, ensuring all tools and materials are organized and ready for use.
• Help with measuring, cutting, and fitting materials according to project specifications.
• Learn to operate basic hand tools and power tools safely under supervision.
• Aid in the preparation of surfaces through cleaning, caulking, or minor masonry work such as stucco or tile laying.
• Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Assist with blueprint reading and understanding schematics to support accurate project execution.

Skills

• Basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn concrete forming techniques, rebar installation, and masonry practices such as bricklaying or stonework.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully while developing skills in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
• Strong work ethic with a focus on teamwork, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of construction estimating concepts is a plus but not required.
• Eagerness to grow within the construction industry by acquiring skills in heavy equipment operation, roofing, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, welding, restoration work, and more. Physical Requirements & Qualifications

• At Heights: Comfortable working on roofs, climbing ladders, and operating at heights.
• Heavy Lifting: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (often 50 to 80+ pounds).
• Weather Exposure: Physically capable of working outdoors in various elements (heat, cold, and rain).
• Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (often needed to drive company work vans).
• Background: Willingness to pass a background check

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
