About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Linux Engineer to join our Cloud services team.
This role is ideal for someone with foundational knowledge in Linux, Docker, and assembly-level concepts, who is eager to grow and gain real hands-on experience in system administration and production operations.
You will be responsible for monitoring system health, identifying incidents, escalating issues, and performing routine operational tasks. You will work closely with senior engineers to resolve problems and continuously improve system reliability.
Responsibilities
● Perform monitoring shifts to ensure system availability and performance.
● Identify incidents, perform initial troubleshooting, and escalate according to procedures.
● Document incidents, steps taken, and outcomes clearly.
● Assist in maintaining and improving monitoring tools like Grafana and GroundCover/DataDog and dashboards.
● Follow predefined runbooks and procedures to ensure consistent handling of events.
Required Skills & Qualifications
● Foundational knowledge of Linux administration (file systems, permissions, processes, networking basics).
● Hands-on experience with Docker/K8S (running containers/pods, basic images, logs, and troubleshooting).
● Basic understanding of Ansible language concepts (registers, memory layouts, low-level operations).
● Familiarity with command-line tools, SSH, and common system utilities.
● Ability to follow procedures and escalate issues accurately.
● Ability to work in a shift-based schedule.
● Good communication skills and attention to detail.
