We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customs Broker to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties

• Prepare and review customs documentation, including import/export declarations, tariffs, and classifications to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and carriers to facilitate timely clearance of shipments.
• Monitor and manage customs compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring all regulations are met.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse management, and transportation teams to align logistics activities with customs procedures.
• Conduct audits of shipments and documentation to identify potential issues and implement process improvements for faster clearance.
• Maintain accurate records of all customs transactions using transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems, and other relevant software.
• Stay current on changes in customs laws, tariffs, trade agreements, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and efficiency.

Requirements

• English and Spanish Preferred
• Proven experience as a Customs Broker or in a similar logistics or supply chain role with a focus on customs clearance.
• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, tariffs, classification codes (HS codes), and import/export procedures.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms like AS400 or SAP, and supply chain analytics tools.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with government agencies, carriers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Ability to analyze data related to freight costs, pricing strategies, demand planning, and inventory control for process optimization.
• Knowledge of freight forwarding practices including NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as Customs Brokerage License or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement initiatives within logistics operations. Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
