ABEnergy knows its ABCs when it comes to wind energy. The company develops, owns, and operates wind-powered generation projects in the UK. It specializes in operating windfarms in less-windy areas of the UK. The company develops the projects in both green fields (such as farmland) and brownfields (former industrial or commercial sites). ABEnergy uses DeWind (part of FKI) wind turbines and Babtie Group's power consulting unit to develop the wind farms. It also works in partership with landowners to own and operate the facilities. Managing director Frank Binns and projects director Keith Albrow founded the company in 2002.
