AWB Limited markets wheat and other grains grown on farms Down Under. AWB's activities include the pooling, marketing, trading, financing, risk and logistical management of wheat. Other crops that it handles include barley, sorghum, and oilseeds, and its seeds division provides seed for those crops. AWB also owns rural-services company Landmark, which operates some 400 retail supply outlets for Australian farmers. Its other operations include wool marketing services and fertilizer production. AWB made the transition from government-owned to farmer-owned in 1999 and in 2010 the company was acquired by Canada's Agrium. Soon after the sale, Agrium agreed to sell AWB's commodity management business to Cargill.
