ActivIdentity isn't passive about data security. The company provides a variety of authentication and user management products, including smart cards, biometric readers, tokens, and USB keys. Its products are used to control and monitor access to intranets, extranets, and the Internet, enabling businesses to digitally authenticate and manage the identities of employees, customers, and trading partners. The company's commercial customers have included Citibank, Novell, and Oracle; the US Department of Defense is also a client. About half of ActivIdentity's business is done outside of North America. It also offers services such as consulting, support, and training. The company is a subsidiary of ASSA ABLOY.
