CEMEX de Puerto Rico makes cement in Puerto Rico. Shocking, but true. Formerly Puerto Rican Cement Company (PRCC), the company operates a cement plant and about 20 ready-mix facilities, an aggregates quarry, and two land distribution centers in Puerto Rico. CEMEX de Puerto Rico serves cement customers throughout the island, but its ready-mix operations are concentrated in the eastern part of the island; it has an installed capacity of about 1.2 million tons a year. Its parent company, Mexico-based giant CEMEX, operates primarily in North America and Europe, but has customers throughout the world.
