The road to Snellville is paved with the good intentions of E.R. Snell Contractor. The company specializes in highway construction, grading, and paving. It works on roads, bridges, culverts, and industrial and commercial structures in Georgia. The group also sells asphalt and performs asphalt paving. Its EZ Street cold asphalt mix is used by departments of transportation around the country in order to repair potholes and utility cuts to roads. The company, which operates about a dozen plants, has roots that reach back to 1923, when G. F. Snell and his son E. R. started a rock culvert and wall building business. The company incorporated in 1959 and it continues to be owned and managed by the Snell family.
