Ebara Corporation's products keep fluids flowing, air and water clear, and networks humming. The company is one of the world's largest manufacturers of industrial pumps and related equipment. Its environmental engineering segment offers fluidized-bed gasification (turning biomass waste into combustible gas) and incineration, water treatment, and vacuum sewerage systems. The company's precision machinery group makes products such as chemical mechanical polishers, wafer carrier washers, and solder-plating equipment, for use in the manufacture of semiconductors and other high-precision devices. Ebara has significant market presence in China, Europe, and the US; nearly 25% of its total sales come from outside Japan.
