Who says modeling agents are a bunch of elitists? Elite Model Management does. The New York-based agency created the term "supermodel" in the 1980s and helped launch the careers of some of the world's most well-known models, including Gisele Bundchen, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, and Linda Evangelista. The company manages the careers of some 800 models globally; those who earn top dollar are in the Elite+ division. Elite Model Management boasts the Elite Model Look, an international model-scouting contest that attracts more than 300,000 participants who are looking to be discovered. Creative World Management owns the company.
