Students at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising make it work. The private school specializing in all aspects of the fashion industry offers associate's degrees in some 16 majors, including fashion design, graphic design, merchandise marketing, interior design, and apparel manufacturing management. The school also offers bachelor's degrees in business management. The school enrolls more than 7,500 students and offers classes at four campuses in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Orange County, California. Alumni include finalists on the hit TV show, Project Runway, and other designers at major clothing labels such as Guess? and Liz Claiborne.
