From 30 offices around the US, the company performs outsourced collection services and provides loan refinancing services to borrowers and third-party clients. It specializes in so-called "high-touch" loans including subprime residential mortgages, home equity lines of credit, and consumer installment loans. It also has the nation's largest portfolio of manufactured housing loans. The company's total portfolio weighs in at some $37 billion. Walter Investment Management, a company that owns and services mortgages, acquired Green Tree in 2011.
