Identigene doesn't have answers to all life's questions, but it can help answer an important one: Who's the father? The company provides DNA paternity testing, as well as other familial relationship and ancestry testing services. Identigene has affiliations with independent collection facilities around the globe. It also sells home testing kits, with which customers can collect their own samples and send them to the Identigene laboratory for analysis; the kits are available at retail outlets such as CVS and Rite Aid. In 2007 the company was acquired by Sorenson Genomics, one of its peers in the DNA testing services industry. Sorenson later merged its own GeneTree paternity testing unit into Identigene.
