Integration Associates takes an integrated approach to integrated circuit design. The fabless semiconductor company, which was founded in 1991, creates analog and mixed-signal designs for customers in the telecommunications and computer markets. Its product range includes infrared, radio-frequency, power management, and sensor chips. It also provides a suite of services to help its customers design and manufacture application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for various specialized uses; Integration expanded its service offerings by acquiring a chip testing plant from 3Com in 2004. Rival Silicon Laboratories acquired Integration Associates in mid-2008 for $80 million, net of cash.
