Formerly InterVoice-Brite, the company makes call automation hardware and software systems that allow telecom network operators to provide interactive services. Its products enable unified messaging (access to voice, e-mail, fax, and Web contact through a single software interface) to simplify the customer service process; it also assists with electronic payments. Intervoice's interactive voice response system allows users to access accounts and other information by phone. Intervoice also provides a range of support and hosting services. In September 2008 the company was acquired by Convergys for $335 million.
