MECS helps industrial customers keep their processes clean and efficient. The company provides engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPC) services to processing plants that use sulfuric acid in their processes. Typical customers include chemical plants, fertilizer producers, metal producers and processors, and oil refiners. The company also provides design and construction services for nitric acid, urea, and ethanol plant customers and offers air pollution control technologies, gas cleaning, and indoor oil mist collection services for a broad range of industries. Chemical giant DuPont acquired MECS in 2011.
