Marvin Engineering Co., Inc. (MEC) is the flagship business unit of The Marvin Group, a privately held Aerospace and Defense Company headquartered in Inglewood, California. Founded in 1963, MEC is one of the largest producers of aircraft stores carriage and release equipment, also known as Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) or Airborne Armament Equipment (AAE), for military fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Products consist of missile launchers, ejector racks, pylons and other complex aero structures, with key customers including the U.S. Department of Defense and all U.S. service branches, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon, General Dynamics, BAE and other defense prime contractors, as well as numerous international customers. We are a managing partner to Lockheed Martin for the AME associated with the F-35 Program, overseeing international workshare partners. Our traditional build-to-print manufacture is supplemented by engineering R&D of cutting edge solutions for the latest platforms.
