Matrix Communications Group (formerly Offshore Telecom) has abandoned its satellite services in favor of networking, voice, data, and security IT services for businesses. Service offerings include VoIP telephony systems; network management and security; and system monitoring, some of which are offered in conjunction with partners such as Mitel and Alcatel-Lucent. In a further restructuring, the company is selling its integration division to Ireland-based Calyx Group in a cash-and-stock deal valued at £40.5 million. Matrix is changing its name to Fujin Technology and is focusing on the business of content filtering for mobile telecom operators.
