New Valley seeks new opportunities as a real estate company and subsidiary of cigarette purveyor Vector Group. New Valley owns half of New York City residential brokerage Douglas Elliman Realty, which operates nearly 60 offices in the New York metropolitan area. Through Preferred Empire Mortgage, New Valley also engages in mortgage brokerage services in New York and Long Island. New Valley owns a 50% interest in Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa in Hawaii and has stakes in a master-planned community in California and townhomes and condos in Manhattan
