Descrição While local radiologists snooze, NightHawk puts its visual acumen to work. NightHawk Radiology Holdings, through its NightHawk Radiology Services subsidiary, remotely interprets diagnostic images (like those made by MRI or X-ray machines) for hospitals and radiology groups after hours. Customers transmit digital scans to NightHawk's facilities where they are then sent to affiliated NightHawk radiologists (who act as independent contractors) for interpretation and diagnosis. The firm provides services to about 30% of US hospitals; its affiliated radiologists are located in time zones around the world. NightHawk has agreed to be acquired by competitor Virtual Radiologic.
