Protus IP Solutions provides businesses with Internet-based fax communication and voice messaging services. The company offers corporate customers a variety of ways around the cumbersome, dedicated fax line, providing broadcast faxing, email marketing, and transaction services. Protus also provides email-to-fax and fax-to-email services using IP (Internet protocol) technology. Its roster of customers has included the likes of Aviva, Dell, and Sprint. Founded in 1997, Protus IP Solutions was acquired by rival j2 Global Communications for about $213 million in 2010.
