Sole Technology aims to put soul into its sportswear. The company makes and markets action sport (skateboarding, BMX) footwear and gear, including apparel, backpacks, hats, wallets, and other accessories, for men and women. Its brands include etnies, etnies Plus, éS, Altamont Apparel, Emerica, and ThirtyTwo. Etnies is not only eco-friendly, the brand is working to become completely carbon neutral by 2020. Sole Technology distributes its products through specialty retailers in the US and internationally in 70-plus countries. The manufacturer and retailer operates one large distribution facility in California and a New York City showroom. Formed in 1996, the company is owned by founder and CEO Pierre Senizergues.
