Descrição Teseda testifies to the power of DFT. The company makes hardware and software used to validate and debug semiconductors; its products employ a methodology called design for test (DFT). Teseda touts its DFT-based systems as reducing the time and expense of chip development and testing. DFT by itself hasn't knocked the socks off the semiconductor industry in general, so Teseda promotes its products as delivering "test for yield," increasing the number of working chips on a silicon wafer. Customers include STMicroelectronics and Hamamatsu Photonics. Teseda has been invested by PacRim Venture Partners, SmartForest Ventures, and the venture capital arm of top semiconductor equipment manufacturer KLA-Tencor.
