Career growth and compensation progression may feel slow, particularly for technical roles. In my experience, communication around promotions and career development was not always clear, and outcomes did not always match expectations. Retention also seemed to be a challenge, with experienced professionals leaving for other opportunities, which may affect team stability, knowledge retention, and delivery continuity. My team was excellent: skilled, collaborative, reliable, and committed to quality delivery. However, the management experience could have been stronger, particularly in communication, decision-making, accountability, and people-management support. The hands-off leadership style gave the team autonomy and helped maintain a strong pace and good client relationship, but support felt limited when direct leadership involvement was needed.
