An hour interview with both the director of the office that I applied for and a senior manager for highways engineering for the South of the UK. Typical interview questions for the first 20 minutes. Followed by a route design exercise, where they left the room and allowed me 20 minutes to read the exercise and answer to the brief of the exercise. The remaining of the interview was spent allowing to discuss my route design and alternatives that I considered during my thought process.

I had two interviews with the company. In the first office I wasn't selected, but because I did really good, they suggested I try in another office. In the first interview, basically the Manager took my CV and went with questions in detail. Everything I had there. For example, I have there at skills, that I played professional youth basketball and a question was: What I learned from that experience. Give example of situation when you demonstrated lateral thinking, because I had at skills: analytical thinking and problem solving. For the second interview the Manager asked me industry related questions to see my knowledge of highway design.
