Position required a bilingual fluent in both English and Russian. Sent in my application and was invited to undergo the usual screening/background check interview on the same day.
The interviewer asked questions about my educational background and professional history, about skills relevant to my position: in my case, I was asked to rate my fluency in English and Russian, translation experience, translation fields I am proficient in, etc.
The HR representative kept me updated throughout the whole process, but two weeks in, I was informed that the project was only considering native speakers of Russian, a detail they neglected to mention in the original job ad.
