I did a recruiter screen and then a video call with two engineers. The engineering interview focused on past experiences and ended with a 10-minute coding exercise (a simple input manipulation function). Because of the tight 10-minute window, there wasn't really time to refactor or discuss optimized solutions, but I managed to get a working solution down. I was rejected two days later, which is fine, but when I reached out to the recruiter to ask for feedback on where I could improve, I never received a response. It’s frustrating to put time into preparation and interviews only to be ghosted once you're out of the running.
