I came across the opportunity on LinkedIn and submitted my application. Approximately two weeks later, I was contacted by HR to complete a Korn Ferry online assessment. The following week, I participated in an online interview with the Executive Managing Officer and the Director of PAT. It was a valuable learning experience.

1-maybe if you can tell me about yourself, your experience and qualification and other achievements 2- what is your experience on the transformers? What is the maximum capacity of the transformer you worked on? 3- can you tell me on the transformers, what type of mechanical protections are installed on the transformers? 4- Do you know what type of maintenance normally we do on the transformer, on annual basis and on five years basis, or what are the different maintenance we have to do on the transformers? 5-Do you know TAN DELTA test ?6- Do you know what is the partial test ? 7- what type of test we need to do for the transformer oil annually? 8-Do you know the dielectric star test ? 9- Dielectric star test, moisture content. Are you familiar with this test? 10- what type of switching gear you have experienced? 11-have you worked on the vacuum circuit breakers, SF6 circuit breakers? 12- what is the type of maintenance normally you do with SF6 breaker and vacuum breaker? 13- what type of maintenance you do on the batteries for service ? 14-Is there any routine maintenance is required for cable? 15-what are the different types of interlocks are there on this withdrawable circuit breaker? 16- what type of maintenance we do on the inverters? 17-What type of predictive maintenance normally we do in the PV plant and the batch plant? 18- how do you check the performance? I mean, you know that Yield test? , test on the PV panels. yeild test? 19- mean Electro luminance, test, electron humanist. Test, el test, we call to identify the cracks inside the PV panels. 20- Are you familiar with the SCADA and monitoring? activities and how to collect data from the SCADA? 21- Are you okay to travel frequently to the sites? 22- , Do you know how to go step by step for a root cause analysis? 23- are you familiar with like the dashboards and reporting of the key data? 24- What is your long term plan? What you want to be like?

In short, it is disorganized and rushed hiring process
In detail,
- HR contacted me on short notice via WhatsApp and repeatedly tried to schedule interviews at inconvenient times.
- Lack of respect for work-life balance – Both the technical interviewer and hiring manager explicitly stated that work-life balance does not exist in this company when comparing to the environment i am coming from, which raises concerns about burnout and workplace culture . The hiring manager didn’t even try to justify or balance this with any associated benefits which is a clear indication of lack of leadership!
- Unclear salary transparency – The hiring manager asked about my current salary but did not inquire about my expectations or discuss compensation openly although i am in a completely different country, when I asked about the budget for this position he replied that this can be taken with the HR team.
- Weak internal processes – The company has internal processes, but even the hiring manager admitted they are not consistently followed.
- When i tried to ask about updates regarding the hiring process, HR didn't respond then i noticed after couple of weeks that the position is opened again!
