Apple recruiter contacted me awhile after applying. Usual screening order of HR->Technical with hiring manager->On-site multi-panel interview. Two follow-up phone interviews not including communications with HR. Interview process failed to give relevant technical evaluations on skills important to the role. It was for audio/acoustics testing but there were no questions specific to that area of knowledge; a lot more coding and behavioral questions than anything else.
Expect boilerplate interview questions and a lack of appropriate technical questions. They don't state it explicitly, but culture fit is clearly a bigger concern than technical ability.
