When I applied to work at Apple, I had 7 rounds, including multiple rounds with hiring manager and a variety of different members. The questions were what you'd expect from the interviewers.
The recruiting team at Apple are disjointed, highly disorganized and uncommunicative throughout the interview process. After making it to the third round where I got to meet the team, I was completely ghosted by the recruiter. Three follows up over the span of a month resulted into zero answers. Even throughout the interview scheduling, they gave me zero info including the titles of those who were going to interview me. What's the point of writing in your emails to reach out to them if you have any questions when you're not planning on getting back to candidates?
This is absolutely unacceptable behaviour from people who are easily making 6 figures at a company like Apple. Even more unnacceptable on the behalf of a company that is valued at a trillion dollars?! You mean to tell me that you guys don't have the systems in place to even send out a generic rejection?
The hiring manager for this position was lovely and so were the colleagues but I found the recruiter side to be appalling especially for a candidate like myself that made quite far into the process. Do better Apple. Candidates are spending time and energy into positions that they are genuinely interested in. These are unnacceptable practices.
