      I recently interviewed for the position of Researcher in Artificial Intelligence applied to Predictive Maintenance at ArcelorMittal. While I was excited about the opportunity and the potential to contribute to their team, I must admit that my interview experience left me with mixed feelings. The interview process started on a positive note. The initial interactions with the HR team were smooth, and they were prompt in scheduling the interview. However, when it came to the technical interview, things took an unexpected turn. Instead of engaging in a meaningful discussion about the role or asking challenging questions related to the job, I was given a technical assessment without any prior notice. As someone who takes professional growth seriously, I was prepared for a rigorous technical discussion and was looking forward to showcasing my skills and knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and Predictive Maintenance. Unfortunately, the assessment did not align with my expectations for an AI research position. What was particularly disappointing was the lack of feedback or communication following the rejection. I invested time and effort in the interview process, and it would have been helpful to receive constructive feedback on my assessment or understand the reasons behind the decision. I believe that transparent communication is essential in the hiring process, both for the candidates and the company. Constructive feedback can help candidates improve and grow, even if they do not ultimately get the job. While my experience may not have been ideal, I still appreciate the opportunity to interview at ArcelorMittal. I hope that my feedback can contribute to a more transparent and productive interview process for future candidates. In conclusion, I encourage ArcelorMittal to consider providing clearer expectations for technical assessments and offering feedback to candidates to enhance their overall interview process.
