Phone screen was ok. Then a Virtual Panel interview. It went well. Then came the handwriting analysis (yikes!) and the personality assessment (double yikes!!). Was told these were not used for hiring decisions, yet they were! Was rejected (after moving through live interviews quickly) only after the assessments. Funny thing - I have 20 years experience in that role, and all the contacts a person could ever hope for. So it was clearly the assessments. The problem with this, as everyone knows, these assessments lack scientific evidence supporting their use in hiring decisions. They can, in some cases, help identify a candidate's work style for more informed management moving forward; but even that is dubious at best.
