I was contacted to set up a virtual interview via Microsoft Teams with an HR representative and members of the production team. While I appreciated the opportunity to speak with the team, I was disappointed with the overall evaluation process.
All of the questions asked during the interview were non-technical and largely unrelated to the specific requirements and responsibilities outlined in the job description. As a candidate, I expected to be assessed on relevant skills, technical knowledge, and my fit for the role based on actual job tasks. Instead, the conversation remained very surface-level, with no clear connection to the practical realities of the position.
This approach made it difficult to demonstrate my qualifications and left me uncertain about how the team evaluates candidates. I believe a more focused, role-specific interview would provide a better experience for both applicants and interviewers, and ultimately lead to stronger hiring decisions.
I would recommend aligning the interview questions more closely with the actual duties and expectations of the role in the future.
