This was a 3 months interview process with 5 people, starting from the hiring manager to the VP. Some interviews were face to face and others were done on the phone. I also had to prepare a presentation which was received very well. All the interviews were positive and I was told that I was selected for the role. The position ended up being offered to an internal candidate. All throughout the process, both the recruiter and I were struggling to get any reply or update from HR. At the end of the process, she didn't bother calling to apologize for the time I have dedicated for the countless interviews and preparations. She didn't even have the decency to reply to my email or pick up the calls from the recruiter. I am very disappointed with this person but I was very pleased and impressed with all the other people I got to meet. While HR were completely unresponsive, the hiring manager was kind enough to reply to my Linked In message and give me clarity on the situation.
