Candidatei-me online. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa BSRIA (Bracknell, Inglaterra).
Entrevista
This was one of the most unusual interviews I have ever experienced and ultimately a very poor use of time for both parties. The questions focused largely on personal preferences (e.g. star sign, favourite TV show and book, and who I would most like to meet, living or deceased) rather than role-relevant competencies. I was also told that knowledge of the business or its products and services was not necessary to work in HR, and that the main requirement for the role was “someone who doesn’t annoy me,” as stated by the CEO, whose interview style was very overbearing.
Despite being told the company had struggled to recruit for the role for some time, I was then informed that they “couldn’t possibly afford” me and was asked instead to complete a three-month contract at £20k less than discussed.
I declined politely! Overall, it did not come across as a remotely professional or well-structured recruitment process.

Entrevista
The final interview stage included conversations with various members of the management team, as well as three tasks, one of which was to be prepared in advance of the interview. The questions were standard interview questions, and everyone was very nice. Despite all the effort put in, they decided to cancel the position so no one got the role.

Which aspects of marketing do you find most interesting, and which do you enjoy the least?

The interview process consisted of 2x panelists.
The conversation was friendly and fine. The process was extremely long and although they were very accommodating to offer a 2 stage interview - the first virtual and they had 2 positions available. They asked me to write a thank you letter following the first interview. I found very strange and not sure if this was the agencies idea and if they made anyone else do that? I did send the thank you letter but they didn't offer me a face to face interview. This is unusual in the UK especially, and made me feel singled out.

One panelist we had very nice conversation asked me about myself, interests and said I was so positive. Also shared some criticisms in the interview. The second panelist spoke a little more about what he liked working there. I found it strange and felt singled out to write thank you letter following the interview and 2nd stage not offered.
