Have applied on LinkedIn for an Operations Manager role, had been asked to choose myself an available slot by interviewer A. Did that, when logged in on Skype and waited for 15 minutes for interviewer A to join. After 17 minutes, dropped her an email to ask her if she still joins...she finally did that after 20 minutes, telling me she ran late with another interview. Very briefly discussed around my CV and told me she'll get back to me in one week. After 2 weeks, not receiving any answer, gor back and ask for a feedback. Another HR person (let's call her B), not interviewer A, replied telling me that there is a positive feedback and me to agreed for a 2nd interview with an Operations Manager.
Did had the interview, after chasing HR for a feedback again, another person (let's call her C) got to me telling me the outcome was a positive one and asked me if I will be available for a final interview, onsite, in Amsterdam. Agreed on that and them to come back to me with the date and time (had to fly for 3 hours for this interview, from another country). After 2 weeks, as I was involved in another intreviews processes, asked if everything was set for my travel. Person C came to me telling me the following: "
"I'm sorry, but last week we hired a operations manager.
This job is now not vacant anymore.
Please check our career website.
Maybe there is a job that suits you.
Again, I'm sorry.
I hope you find a nice job."
Couldn't actually trust my eyes, read that twice...especially that she suggested me to check their career site for another job! Replied that I find this very unproffesional and told her that I am not to check on other opportunities with them. She replied:
"I understand and I'm really sorry.
It was out of my hands.
Our process in this was not a good one.
I hope you find a nice job and have better experience with other companies."
No more comments. And this was for an Operations Manager role....don't want to think about other roles and their approach on these. Worst interview experience ever!
