Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela Booking.com em mar. de 2018
Entrevista
Had to go through about a 30-45 minute online evaluations that involved 1) a basic English test, 2) an "advanced" English tests, 3) two mock-up call center calls, followed by a 4) typing accuracy test, and 5) a personality test. Conclusion: this is objectively an awful process.
Personal background, I have a BA in English Literature and 15+ years of customer service experience.
1. English tests were worded so poorly there was not an obvious answer in both the basic and advanced tests. Multiple choice selections should contain an actual correct answer, not an approximation with poor grammar.
2. The call center calls also lacked the necessary information to correctly handle the calls. I understand customer service better than most and I can assure you if I had received any of the available answers were I a complaining customer or business owner, I would have filed a complaint with the BBB.
3. My typing for accuracy spelling was 100% accurate but marked as incorrect in places. I was unable to edit my "typos" even though there was more than 75% of the time left.
4. Personality test was fine I guess, but short and hardly seemed like it could be of any probative value.
I understand that this is an entry-level job and as such, booking.com may not have devoted much thought or resources to this process. That being said, I felt that this evaluation process was severely lacking in professionalism, functionality, and dignity.

I sent my resume, and they sent me and email with a link to do a test as next step. After that I received a call from HR and then a call to go to the office interview.

Had first a call with a recruiter followed by some exercises using their online plateform to assess the abilities of the canditates. Fairly straight forward. If successful it is then followed by role-play and a language test at their office in London.

I applied online and had to do an English test and answer scenario questions which took about a hour to do. Few weeks later I had to do a phone interview and was invited to do an in-person interview. When you go to the office you will meet with other potential candidates where you'll talk and get to know one another. After you have to do another language test, then a tour of the whole office and finally the one-on-one interview with on of the team leads. I loved the vibes in the office and everyone was friendly. I honestly thought I did a great job at the interview but days later I got an email saying they weren't moving forward with me. I wish I knew why because I really wanted this job and their job application and interview process is so long so I feel like they should give specific reasons why.
