Entrevista
- Initial call with the recruiter - asked the standard product management related questions about my experience (1h)
- Video call with 2 other product managers where I had to prepare a case presenting things I would improve on the booking.com site. It went well, apart from the fact that they were not very communicative. They were just asking the questions only to ask them and didn't really listen to your answers.
- On-site for half a day of interviews with several people + a second presentation on a case (this time they provided me with more details on what to work on)
The process was straightforward, explained in detail during every step and people were polite and accommodating (the only part I found awkward was the last part of the final interview where you're supposed to have a coffee with a random employee that's going to show you around the office.).
As far as the product hiring culture concerns, they pay a lot of attention to your data analytical skills. A lot. Be prepared for exhaustive rounds of questions about metrics and scenarios around them ('i.e If this metric A is down, why do you think it would happen?')
They seem to have a very data-centric profile in mind in terms of what they are looking for and that's fine, if you're this type of product manager.

What metrics did you use to measure the success of a product you were involved recently?
They were very helpful throughout the process and sent me a guideline email with clear instructions and important details. This made everything easier to understand and helped me know exactly what steps to take next.
Great, They asked some simple question about my experience and after each part some follow up question. That is important you have some example and use STAR method to answer. I am waiting for result.

The application procedure is straightforward. You submit your documents first, then go through an initial screening. After that, you complete the first two interviews, followed by an assessment and an assessment interview. Once all stages are finished, you receive a final decision or offer.
