Entrevista
Straight forward. Initial phone call talking about the internship. Then another technical phone call asking about my resume, some technical questions, and if I had any questions in regards to the internship.
First was a technical interview. They asked things like what do you need for 3 factor authentication, basic Security+ questions. Asked about my background with various scanning tool and STIGS.
Then came the touchy-feely personality "FIT" test. Which I strongly believe discriminates against people like myself who are not "Happy-go-lucky" type of personality and retired military and really would rather not deal with people in the first place. Needless to say I found out I failed the personality fit test over a year later through chit-chat with other employees but the position I filled had been open for several month so I got the job anyway.
Initially CACI offered me $65k/per year and I told them I was not going to take a $10k pay cut. $65k is what I started out at over 10 years ago as a federal contractor. They came back with a higher offer of $70k/per year but it still is not the industry base salary...FAR BELOW what other companies pay. And the management uses the excuse it's a fixed price contract.
Well I just found out recently that CACI is being paid $75-79/per hour from the gov for a Level 2 Engineer and they are paying me around $34 which is around $70k/per year. Boecore (the sub-contractor on the same contract) use to pay their level 2 engineers $73k/per year and recently gave them a $5k kick in pay. No pay raise for CACI level 2 engineers. No wonder they have lost 10 people from the cyber team in the past year.
